Automating GIS Tasks (so you can play more golf)
Craig Cleveland, GISP, Bergmann Associates

As GIS professionals we’re often called upon to do the same tasks over and over again.  Using ArcGIS Desktop’s Model Builder is a great way to help us automate those redundant tasks, however you’re still required to push a button or two from time to time.  With the use of Windows Scheduled Tasks, and exports from Model Builder, we can actually eliminate the need to do anything at all to accomplish these tasks!

During the course of this presentation users will see how Model Builder can be used to create models of specifics tasks/processes, how those models can then be exported to scripts and finally how Scheduled Tasks can be configured to run those processes at regularly scheduled intervals.
